WBCM Scholarship

The Women in Business Continuity Scholarship helps women – including those re-entering the workforce or seeking a new career path – launch professional careers in business continuity, emergency management, and organizational resilience.

What is Business Continuity?
Business continuity is about helping organizations prepare for and recover from disruptions – anything from natural disasters to cyberattacks. Professionals in this field ensure organizations can keep operating during challenging times.

What the Scholarship Covers
The Women in Business Continuity Scholarship includes:

  • free BCLE 2000 (Business Continuity Planning) course through DRI Canada (in-person or online), including the qualifying exam

  • For those who pass the exam, a free DRI International certification application and fees

Additional Support
Recipients will be connected with a network of women practitioners, mentorship opportunities, and—where needed—up to $500 in dependent care assistance (with supporting documentation) during the course and exam (with two weeks’ notice).

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • Reside in Canada or the United States

  • Demonstrate financial need

  • Have basic office and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email)

  • Commit to completing the workshop within 6 months of award, the exam within 1 month of the workshop, and the certification application within 3 months of passing the exam

  • Show interest or experience in business continuity, emergency management, or resilience

  • Not currently work in business continuity or a directly related profession
