This fast paced dialogue style seminar is facilitated by a senior certified instructor or a DRI CANADA executive. The content is a specific overview of the Disaster Recovery Institute's development methodology and best practices related to the implementation of a business continuity program; also known as a Continuity Of Operations Program (COOP). Topics covered include:
- The value of the DRI Canada Certification and Education program
- Business Continuity as a strategic element of Risk Management
- Risk Management techniques specific to Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Selecting and developing appropriate and cost effective recovery strategies
- Strategic crisis management versus tactical operations
- The role of the crisis communications interface to BCP
Participants will receive a high level overview of the standard methodology and best practices used to implement a comprehensive business continuity program. In addition, DRI will demonstrate how Business Continuity, as a process fits with the overall Risk Management discipline.
The seminar provides a valuable awareness of the relationship of Business Continuity to a risk managed service delivery model.
This seminar has been widely used to better understand planning requirements and as a familiarization tool for the terminology and process model of business continuity.
