Examination Overview

Professional Examinations by DRI CANADA

You will find a complete listing of our exam options below. All courses end with the exam on the final day. Most exams can be challenged without course attendance, but not all. Please note that the discounted exam retake fee of $250 is only available to those who have already taken the associated DRI course. Those who challenged the exam, but have not taken a course will be required to pay the full exam fee of $750 in order to retake the exam.

Qualifying Exam

Every certified professional, and vendor must take and pass the Qualifying Exam (Q-Exam) before they can apply to any level or designation for certification from DRI. DRI CANADA administers the only professional examination for Canada when the examination results are graded by DRI International.

Students who fail the Q-Exam will be provided with feedback on the examination to identify the top three areas of weakness. This will be helpful to prepare for a retake of the Q-Exam.

Register for training

The Q-Exam is provided at no additional cost to students registered for the Core Curriculum courses; BCLE-2000, BCOE 2000 or the BCP-501. Separate registration is required if not taken in conjunction with a course. See the training registration information for pricing, schedules and availability. Audit Exam (NFPA 1600)

DRI CANADA administers the only professional examination in Business Continuity Planning for Audit. This comprehensive examination, developed by subject matter experts, is offered as part of the BCLE AUD course.

CBCA and CBCLA approved by ANSI

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has accredited the CBCA and CBCLA certification programs under ISO/IEC 17024:2003, General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification Systems of Persons.

DRI International is a recognized ANSI Standards Developing Organization and a member of Council of Experts for ANSI-ANAB who will set the credentialing standard for certifying bodies for PS-Prep.


Healthcare Qualifying Exam

Master Case Study Exam

DRI CANADA administers a master-level professional examination in Business Continuity Planning that is offered as part of the BCP-601 course.

exam format:Written case study examination, developed by subject matter experts, consists of 10 essay questions covering every aspect of the 10 subject areas of the Professional Practices for Business Continuity Practitioners
duration:4 hours and 30 min
resutls and grades:Pass or Fail (A score of 75 percent of higher is required to pass). Exams are graded by DRI International
language:English only
available forms:administered electronically and available online (via DRII). You are required to supply a laptop for the exam.
after the exam:Successful completion of the Master Case Study Exam, qualifies an individual to subsequently apply for a MBCP designation

Only professionals who have already passed the DRII Qualifying Examination, and who have a minimum of five years' of experience may register for the Masters Case Study Examination
