AWARDS PROGRAM
Nomination Process
The DRI CANADA Award of Excellence recognizes and publicizes examples of excellence in Canadian Business Continuity Management (BCM). BCM includes three professional areas:
- Business Continuity (Business side)
- Disaster Recovery (Information Technology [IT] side)
- Crisis Management
Organizational eligibility
To be eligible for a DRI CANADA Award of Excellence, an organization must have at least one staff member who is responsible for Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery or Crisis Management. For-profit, not-for-profit and government organizations are eligible.
Large and small organization award categories
Large and small organizations compete for a DRI CANADA Award of Excellence. Our Large Organization Category recognizes the efforts of enterprises with more than 499 staff members. Our Small Organization Category is for enterprises with fewer than 500 staff members.
Who can nominate an organization
Staff members working full-time in a BCM professional area can nominate their organizations. So can senior managers, regardless of their profession. But only a person affiliated with an organization can nominate it.
Award of Excellence Disclaimer
DRI CANADA may review the Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and or Crisis Response program of a candidate organization as part of the Award of Excellence determination process. In doing so, DRI CANADA may assess the Business Continuity Planning process of the winning candidate organization.
Our review of the Business Continuity Planning process will be limited to an assessment that the Organization's Business Continuity Planning program follows generally accepted Business Continuity planning processes and standards.
However, our review process and conferring of an award does not constitute an endorsement of any plans or documents and does not imply any legal liability on the part of DRI CANADA.
DRI CANADA assumes no liability for recovery from business interruption, personnel injury or loss, recovery of essential business information or financial loss, through its Award of Excellence program.
