Q: Are different processes used to select the small and large company winners?
A: Yes. Small organization selection takes one round. The Award Committee identifies finalists on the basis of nomination form information and then conducts panel interviews to choose a winner. Large Organizations and Public/Government selection takes two rounds. In the first round, the DRI CANADA Award Committee identifies finalists. To do this it uses information on the Nomination Form and may use interviews. In the second round, the Committee evaluates responses to a more detailed questionnaire that the finalists must complete. Responses to this questionnaire may be passed for validation to a DRI CANADA Award Committee and panel interviews may be conducted to choose a winner.
Q: How much publicity will DRI CANADA Award winners receive?
A: Winners are recognized at an award presentation ceremony held at the World Conference on Disaster Management (WCDM). DRI CANADA will be pleased to work with your Public Relations or Communications department to achieve the level of publicity desired by your organization.
