Education and Certification for Continuity Management Professionals

Purpose of DRI CANADA
DRI CANADA was incorporated as a not-for-profit, member based, organization in 1996 to:

• Provide education, based on continuity management standards, to
  individuals and organizations in Canada
• Provide a standards based certification system attesting to the knowledge
  and experience of continuity management professionals
• Promote the credibility and professionalism of our members

Affiliate Agreement
DRI CANADA is the only* affiliate of DRI International based in Conway, AR (USA).

*As of March 2007

Standards
DRI International, along with the Business Continuity Institute establishes and maintains the standards for the education and certification programs. The standards are called the Professional Practices and are available as a free download on this site.

Certification
Certification is based on knowledge and experience components of the Professional Practices. Certification is available at 4 levels which are fully described in the Certification section.

• Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP)
  DRI Canada awards ABCP automatically with a pass on the certification examination.
• Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP)
• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
• Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)
